Major cruise line offers reduced prices on bookings for late October-- great value for flexible travelers who wish to see Croatia, Hungary, Rumania, Czech Republic.

If you are ready to book right now, today, you can get a great discount on one of Grand Circle's most popular tours.

"Eastern Europe to the Black Sea" is a favorite 11-day cruise of many seniors and others who enjoy ship travel with this major company. Use the special discount code -- EALS273 -- when you reserve for certain departures. For the October 28 and October 30 departures the price is $1795. For the November 13 or November 18 departures, the price is $1695. The prices include international airfare from New York or Boston.

The "Blue Danube" 12-day river cruise takes visitors to Budapest, Hungary, Slovakia, Vienna, Austria, Prague, and the Czech Republic. Use the same discount code for the November 10 departure and the price is $1795, including airfare from Baltimore, New York or Boston.

You can save up to $3100 per couple, but you must contact Grand Circle by October 24 to lock in these price reductions.

The Grand Circle first cruise, an Eastern Europe comprehensive one, takes you to five countries. You visit Old World villages and spiffed-up world capitals. The cruise begins in Budapest. When you get to Croatia, there is a special treat -- a home-hosted lunch in Croatia. Other highlights include seeing what Grand Circle calls "nature's amazing Iron Gates" during a daylight transit. The ship cruises the Danube-Black Sea Canal, and there is also a "scenic rail journey" from Constanta to Bucharest. Grand Circle's latest e-mail suggests that you can "be among the first Americans to glimpse these re-emerging nations." There are also extension tours to Prague, Czech Republic and Budapest, Hungary and Transylvania, Romania.

The second follows the footsteps of the Hapsburgs. Grand Circle says it "showcases the Danube's most riveting locales and the historic ports of the former Austro-Hungarian Empire. Besides the grand capitals of Prague, Vienna, and Budapest, you'll discover picturesque Esztergom and Linz, and dramatic Bratislava, Slovakia's capital—destinations rarely featured on ordinary tours. A three-night hotel stay in Prague, sightseeing, and exclusive Discovery Series events round out your central European discoveries."

Grand Circle's extension tours allow you to spend several extra days and explore the stunning sights, food and culture of these old-world cities. One Post-cruise extension takes travelers to Transylvania, Romania for three nights at a cost of $495 and up. Another covers three nights in Prague for $395 and up. Each, which includes three meals, is subject to availability.
